The Value of Honesty and Transparency

Filed under: Uncategorized — Unknown @ 10:16 pm

This was Dr. Matthew Stevenson’s third part in the Series titled “Covenant Relationships and Divine Connections. He explained the importance of transparency and honesty in our horizontal relationships.  Most people don’t understand the importance of being honest and many stumble at the thought of it. Dr. Stevenson dispelled the fallacy that your lies will protect you. After this message, he gave many in the room the opportunity to vocalize their honesty to those that felt connected to. Whether it was peer level or mentor relationships.

HELP!!! I’ve Been Hurt In the Church!! – Part 1

Filed under: Uncategorized — Unknown @ 3:27 am

Apostle Matthew Stevenson began a 7-week series titled “Help! I’ve been hurt in the Church” with the first message called “Breaking the Silence”. It deals with prominent dysfunctions in the church that has damaged many perceptions of what the church really looks like.  Today’s service was packed with many eager faces anticipating to hear about the behavior that many of us experienced but never faced how it affected us.

Apostle Matthew Stevenson fearlessly opened the door to the church’s closet. He shared many dysfunctions that currently exist and how they have affected us; beginning with his own personal testimony. He shared that he was first introduced to church through the “smoking room” where pastors, deacons, and other church leaders would go periodically to have a smoke break.

He continued by explaining how this behavior have left many emotionally scarred with a deep hatred and bitterness for the church and its leaders. From sexual abuse, manipulation, infidelity, and sexual immorality among the pastors and leaders which as a result has inadvertently kept the REAL BIBLICAL CHURCH OF JESUS HIDDEN!!

This was the appropriate place to begin! Because we need to be willing to discuss these things so that those affected can receive healing from them! Much healing went forth following the conclusion of service and you can see God healing the wounds that were kept hidden! He also offered key points on why people really come to church.

NOW IS NOT THE TIME TO BE QUIET!! LET HIM HEAL YOU! BREAK YOUR SILENCE!!

Experiencing Heaven on EARTH!!

Filed under: Uncategorized — Unknown @ 12:08 am

Are you tired of dry, competitive worship service in your church? We are! ANWA has grown discontent with the standard of “church service”. As a result, we are cultivating a clearer understanding of heaven on earth in our assembly. We now identify ourselves with God’s grace in us so the days of toiling are over!!

God is definitely building our house in powerful praise and worship! Sunday actually felt like worship with the angels!! There was such a dynamic liveliness that compelled our hearts to timeless unending worship! I felt the heart of God beckoning us to remain and persist. No one came in with a workman’s approach; instead there was pure passion and willingness! There were people dancing, shouting, kneeling, weeping and experiencing boundless freedom.

We are not afraid to readjust service and align our vision with the model of heaven for this is the key to kingdom worship.

We believe making adjustments and being open to the spirit of God are keys to producing change in the atmosphere of our house and churches throughout Chicago. We are a trailblazing church and we are eager builders, shakers and movers!!

And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever. And the four beasts said, Amen. And the four and twenty elders fell down and worshipped him that liveth for ever and ever.

The Demand for EXCELLENCE!

The Demand for Excellence

Have you ever been to a church that lacked wisdom, structure, and order? Take a look at how the church is portrayed in the media today. You see… disorderly, ill-informed, and poverty stricken people with no real answer for the needs of society. It seems the church has become irrelevant. This was the problem that Apostle Matthew Stevenson addressed this week. He  encouraged our house to display depth in the word of God, excellence, and wisdom in every area of our lives so that we can address the problems and needs in society.

This mandate pushed our house into an urgent desire of preparation to handle the responsibility of leading larger people groups, but in order to do so, we understand that we must become leaders with our lives built on quality. The world today needs well equipped leaders with a heart penetrating understanding of the word of God that exhibit integrity and character. We are preparing our house for influence and reformation over the city of Chicago and beyond and the QUALITY of our lives will be HOW we will get THERE!

This message really challenged heart to gain more knowledge in the scriptures. I felt like need to prepare for THIS! It help me understand that the more sharper I am in the word of God; the more effective my witness is to the lost. The lost needs the gospel of Jesus Christ and it is the only raw source with the ability to transform the heart. Solomon had wisdom the excelled beyond any character in the bible. He was brought many hard problems or questions to solve. Hard problems are very prevalent in our society today.

We will not be content until the wisdom of Solomon manifests heavily in All Nations Worship Assembly (ANWA), because ONLY by it we can answer the hard problems and questions. We understand that Solomon’s ability to steward with excellence and wisdom reflects God’s kingdom.  We want to represent well and break the negative stigmas off the church.

WE ARE WELL ABLE!!

Challenged to Move with Momentum

Will you move?

Have you ever been challenged and encouraged to be and do everything God desires? Well.. This has been the climate of the last few Sundays at All Nations Worship Assembly. Being average, common, or mundane has been impossible because the last few messages have made it very difficult to remain that way. Many in our services are getting courage to step out into God’s plan for them so that favor, providence and blessing can be released to further our mission. Many are seeing the realization of their importance to the church and why they cannot relent when things get difficult in their personal lives. Apostle Matthew has made it very clear that ANWA needs us!

This is not for those that want to just be church members! But this is the Time for Personal Advancement!

Apostle Matthew Stevenson has been painting a very vivid vision of where we are headed as a church and how our individual destinies complement the overall purpose that God wants to do in All Nations. Suddenly, I begin to see how everything God has given me to accomplish in the earth furthers the vision for ANWA. I felt the intense need to study and sharpen my prophetic gifting and counseling anointing for what is ahead.

This infectious passion has come over us! Suddenly, an intense desire became alive in our atmosphere to see things change for Chicago! I believe this is how God intended the church to be, which is to be positioned to impact society. Well, I must say! We are being positioned! Get READY!

The Time is NOW to possess the Land!

Numbers 13:30

“And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said. Let us go up at once, and possess it; For we are well able to overcome it.”
